Wickless Candles

Wickless candles

  • All of our container candles can be ordered "wickless" for use with electric warmers in places where open flames are not allowed. Especially great for offices, dorms, and retirement centers.  We do not charge extra for our special Wickless candles.  They are the same great price as a wicked candle.

Tips on Selecting Your Wickless Container

  • The scent from the wickless candle comes from the melt pool.  Therefore, the quicker you can achieve a melt pool, the quicker you will have scent permeating through your space.  Therefore keep these things in mind:
    • The greater the circumference of the container, the greater your scent throw.
    • To achieve a quicker melt pool, make sure you have the appropriate size container for your candle warmer.  A tall candle will take a very long time to melt on a candlewarmer, therefore you will be disappointed in the amount of time it takes to melt and achieve your scent.  However the same taller jar will work wonderfully in a candle crock, which heats on 3 sides.
  • 16 & 26 ounce Apothecary Jars are nicely suited for the Candle Crocks.  The larger container does best with the heat being radiated from the 3 sides of a crock.
  • 10 ounce Apothecary Jars work well on Candle Warmers.  It is wide on the bottom to disperse heat, it has a wide mouth to disperse scent, and it is short and therefore heats up relatively quickly.
  • The Squat Mason Jar works well on a candle warmer, as it is also wide on the bottom to disperse heat, it has a wide mouth to disperse scent, and the short squat jar heats up quickly.
  • Travel Tins in any size are a great choice for a candlewarmer.  They heat up fairly quickly.
  • Try our wickless Votives when you are ready to change your scent in either your 10 ounce Apothecary Jar, your Squat Mason Jar, or a Travel Tin.
  • It is not recommended to use Palm wax in a wickless candle due to the higher melt point necessary for the palm wax.

Caution:  As with any jar, be sure to check your jar carefully for cracks, chips, or scratches.  While candle jars are made to take intensive heat, they are NOT made to last forever, therefore you need to practice caution and inspect your jar prior to each use.  Do not use if your jar is cracked, chipped, or scratched.  Discard after excessive usage.  The heat can cause the damaged or weakened glass to shatter.

You are solely responsible for the usage of your jar on your candle warmer or in your candle crock.  Always use caution and common sense.

Never leave a candle, wick or wickless, unattended.
